This darling colt was born in May of 1998 on the
Bjorklund Farm in Sweden.
His mother is a Canadian born mare who arrived in Sweden in the fall of 1997,
before
his birth, and his father is stallion
J-R's Classic Design, who resides on the QAR.
Leaving Canada, the horses usually begin their journey at sunrise, seen here from the
ranch house, near Qu'Appelle.

The horses are loaded into a horse trailer for the 2000 mile, land trip, to Toronto, to a large airport. During this trip the horses stop at stables where they are kept in quarantine while they rest and eat.
This is a horse crate which is loaded into the cargo area of the airplane, now ready for export. A groom accompanies each crate of horses. Just like other passengers leaving the country, the horses must have their health papers all in order prior to boarding! The horses will be in the air about 9 hours for the trip to Europe.

Once the horses are unloaded at the airport, the horses move to local ground transport. The horses getting out of this horse trailer in Sweden at the Windh Farm, have also just had a 9 hour ferry ride.
This mare seems to be surprised, gazing out her window, at her new home!

Home in this new land is far different from the wide open spaces and rolling plains of the horses' former home on the QAR - but beautiful, just the same!

These horses all had their air travel arrangements and export information by PEGASUS TRANSPORT - Jurgen Hoffman. Fax - 49 2182 82 5106.
