Tobago Bay was born February 16, 1978; and was imported to Canada in 1984 by the QAR. He is bay; blanketed with black and bay spots over hips and loins. In addition to local victories, Tobago Bay tied for third place at the World Championships in 1982.
Tobago Bay died peacefully on the QAR on July 11, 1999, while grazing in front of the farm house with three of his favourite old mares.

The American Quarter Horse Association recently honored
Three Bars memory by presenting him with the 14th historical marker
describing his contributions to the AQHA.
A Kentucky-bred thoroughbred stallion, Three Bars’ marker will be
installed at the Kentucky Horse Park near Lexington.
